Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most commonly asked questions.

Please feel free to reach out to us on our Contact Us Page for more information.

Our process begins with an initial meeting at your home, where we take photos, measurements, and discuss your project goals. Using that information, we prepare an initial investment estimate. If you’re comfortable with the estimate, the next step is signing a design agreement so we can begin the design phase. Once the design is finalized with you, we adjust the estimate to reflect the actual investment cost.

No. The initial estimate is based on scope and mid‑range product allowances, but it does not include a design. Just as you wouldn’t work for free, neither do we — our design expertise is a valuable service, and we ask for a modest fee to perform that work.

The timeline depends on your pace and comfort level. Confident decision‑makers may complete the design in 1–2 months, while clients with busier schedules or those who prefer more time may take 2–4 months. We never rush clients — we move at your pace so you feel good about your investment.

It’s a preliminary estimate based on the specific scope of work for your project, using mid‑range fixtures and finishes as a baseline. In most cases, the initial estimate is very close to the final investment price once selections are made.

Yes. Costs can be managed in several ways:

  • Choosing budget‑friendly or clearance finishes and fixtures
  • Handling certain tasks yourself, such as painting
  • Phasing the project into stages if multiple areas of your home are involved

We’ll guide you through these options to help balance savings with the quality and longevity of your investment.

It can. Sometimes clients find the final cost comes in lower than expected, so they add more scope. Other times, costs increase when higher‑end or luxury materials are selected. We never upsell — our goal is always to help you achieve the best value for your investment.

Our pricing typically falls in the middle compared to other contractors. What sets us apart is that we are Interior Designer‑owned and led, meaning you receive one‑on‑one design guidance for all materials, finishes, and fixtures. Many contractors either use the same finishes across projects or leave clients to make selections on their own. We provide tailored design support to ensure your investment is both beautiful and lasting.

We specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels, custom cabinetry, interior renovations, and interior space enhancements. Our expertise lies in blending design and construction seamlessly, so you benefit from both creative vision and technical execution.

The first payment will be the design retainer, which secures the time and resources needed to guide you through the design process. Once the design is complete, we will prepare the full project contract. At the time of contract signing, an initial deposit of 30% will be collected. Your design retainer will be applied toward this deposit, so that amount directly contributes to your overall investment.

All subsequent payments will be broken down into specific timeframes tied to progress milestones in the project. These details will be outlined clearly in your contract, so you know exactly what to expect at each stage.

Project timelines vary depending on the scope of work and the number of changes involved. As a general guideline, a typical kitchen renovation takes approximately 4–8 weeks, while a bathroom remodel usually requires 3–6 weeks. Larger or more complex projects may take longer, but we’ll provide a clear schedule tailored to your specific project, so you know what to expect.

Start dates vary depending on the time of year and the number of projects already in progress. We schedule projects in the order of commitment — meaning once a contract is signed, your place on the calendar is secured. We believe this is the fairest way to manage scheduling and ensures that every client receives the attention and quality they deserve.

Most of our clients are happy to wait several weeks to work with our team, knowing that the expertise and care we bring to each project is worth the investment of time. We’ll provide you with a clear timeline once your contract is in place, so you’ll know exactly when to expect your project to begin.

Yes. We are licensed, bonded, and insured general contractors. All of our skilled trade partners provide proof of insurance, W‑9s, and sign agreements with us. We’ve spent years building a trusted network of professionals with whom we have strong working relationships.
